SUMMARY:FSMA Produce Safety Grower Training- remote delivery
DESCRIPTION:University of Missouri Extension and Kansas State Research and Extension are\npartnering to offer the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) Produce\nSafety Alliance (PSA) Grower Training remotely. The class will take\nplace on May 7 AND May 8 from 1-5PM CDT each day. In order to receive a\ncertificate of training\, you will have to attend the entire training on\nboth days and we must be able to see a live video feed of you at least\nperiodically throughout the entire training (or you need to speak or\ntype into the chat when requested) to ensure that you are engaged\nthroughout the entire training. You must participate in the training on a\n device larger than your phone (i.e. tablet or computer). Note that it\nis very important that you are listening and engaged during the training\n to be eligible to receive the certificate of training. If you are a\ncovered farm under the FSMA Produce Safety Rule and need the training\,\nthis course will meet that requirement (for more information visit https://www.ksre.k-state.edu/foodsafety/produce/fsma/index.html). You will be required to return a course evaluation before you will receive your certificate of training.This\n training is geared for produce growers in Kansas and Missouri (but\nparticipants from other states are welcome as space allows) and other\nregulatory or support personnel and will be limited to 30 participants.\nIf you are a Missouri grower and would like more information please\ncontact or Patrick Byers (417-859-2044 or byerspl@missouri.edu).
