SUMMARY:FSMA Produce Safety Grower Training- remote delivery and in Olathe
DESCRIPTION:The University of Missouri Extension and Kansas State Research and\nExtension are partnering to offer the Food Safety Modernization Act\n(FSMA) Produce Safety Alliance (PSA) Grower Training remotely. The class\n will take place on February 21 from 8AM-5PM.  In order to receive a\ncertificate of training\, you will have to attend the entire training and\n for those of you joining online\, we must be able to see a live video\nfeed of you at least periodically throughout the entire training (or you\n need to speak or type into the chat when requested) to ensure that you\nare engaged throughout the entire training. If joining remotely\, you\nmust participate in the training on a device larger than your phone\n(i.e. tablet or computer). Note that it is very important that you are\nlistening and engaged during the training to be eligible to receive the\ncertificate of training. If you are a covered farm under the FSMA\nProduce Safety Rule and need the training\, this course will meet that\nrequirement (for more information visit https://www.ksre.k-state.edu/foodsafety/produce/fsma/index.html). You will be required to return a course evaluation before you will receive your certificate of training.This\n training is geared for produce growers in Kansas and Missouri (but\nparticipants from other states are welcome as space allows) and other\nregulatory or support personnel and will be limited to 30 participants.\nRegistration will close on February 16 at 4PM. If you are a Kansas grower and would like more information please contact Katelynn Stull at kjstull@ksu.eduNote\n that if you are joining remotely\, we need your shipping address to know\n where to mail your manual before the training and to know where to mail\n your certificate after you have completed all the requirements of the\ntraining. Please list a mailing address where we will be able to mail\nyour manual for you to use during the training.Please note that\nfor this training\, we have added the option that if participants would\nlike to attend this session in person rather than online\, they can join\nus at KSU Olathe- 22201 W Innovation Dr\, Olathe KS 66061. If you are\ninterested in join the session in person\, please register accordingly\n(refreshments and lunch included for those joining in person). If you\nattend in person\, you will pick up your manual the day of the training.We will email everyone the zoom link to everyone registered for the online version of course 2 days before the training.
